Invoices
View and manage invoices for your store orders. Track payment status, filter by date or status, and download invoices for your records.
Overview
Invoices are automatically generated for each order placed on your storefront. They provide a formal record of the transaction including itemized details, pricing, and payment status. Use invoices for:
- Tracking payments and outstanding balances
- Maintaining financial records for accounting
- Providing customers with proof of purchase
- Managing cash flow and identifying overdue payments
Viewing Invoices
Access your invoices from the dashboard:
Navigate to Invoices
Go to Commerce → Invoices in your dashboard sidebar.
Browse Invoice List
View all invoices in a sortable table with key information at a glance.
Click for Details
Click on any invoice to view the full details and line items.
Invoice List Columns
The invoice list displays the following information:
- Invoice Number - Unique identifier for each invoice
- Customer - Name and email of the customer
- Amount - Total invoice amount
- Date - When the invoice was created
- Status - Current payment status of the invoice
Invoice Details
Each invoice contains comprehensive transaction information:
Header Information
- Invoice Number - A unique sequential identifier
- Invoice Date - The date the invoice was generated
- Due Date - The expected payment date
- Order Reference - Link to the associated order
Customer Details
- Customer name
- Email address
- Billing address
- Phone number (if provided)
Line Items
Each invoice includes an itemized breakdown:
- Product Name - Description of each item purchased
- Quantity - Number of units ordered
- Unit Price - Price per item
- Subtotal - Line total for each item
Invoice Totals
- Subtotal - Sum of all line items before fees and discounts
- Shipping - Delivery charges (if applicable)
- Discount - Any coupon or promotional discount applied
- Tax - Applicable tax amount
- Total - Final invoice amount
Invoice Statuses
Invoices can have the following payment statuses:
Payment has been received and confirmed. No further action required.
Invoice has been generated but payment has not yet been received or confirmed.
Payment is past the due date. Follow up with the customer to collect payment.

Filtering and Searching Invoices
Quickly find specific invoices using the search and filter tools:
Searching
Use the search bar to find invoices by:
- Invoice number
- Customer name or email
- Order reference
Filtering Options
- Status Filter - View only Paid, Pending, or Overdue invoices
- Date Range - Filter invoices created within a specific date range
- Amount Range - Find invoices within a certain value range
Open Filters
Click the filter options above the invoice list.
Set Filter Criteria
Select the status, date range, or other criteria to narrow your results.
Apply Filters
The invoice list updates automatically to show only matching results. Clear filters to return to the full list.
Downloading and Printing Invoices
Generate invoice documents for your records or to share with customers:
Open Invoice Details
Click on the invoice you want to download or print.
Download Invoice
Click the Download button to save the invoice as a PDF file to your computer.
Print Invoice
Click the Print button to open the print dialog and send the invoice directly to your printer.

Keep your financial records organized and up to date:
- Review regularly - Check your invoice list weekly to identify any pending or overdue payments
- Follow up on overdue invoices - Contact customers promptly when payments are past due to maintain healthy cash flow
- Download for accounting - Regularly download invoices for your accounting software or tax records
- Use filters efficiently - Filter by status to quickly focus on invoices that need attention
- Reconcile with orders - Cross-reference invoices with your order list to ensure all transactions are properly recorded
