Creatives

Creatives is Vaendora's ad creative suite. Build still image ads on the drag-and-drop canvas, generate professional product photography with AI, and animate any product image into a short video ad - all from one place.

Design, not just content
Creatives produces image and video files, not text. Pair it with Social Content Intelligence: use Social Content Intelligence to write your captions and scripts, then use Creatives to produce the visuals that go with them.

What You Can Build

Product Cutouts

Remove the background from any product photo with one click using AI background removal. The cutout is placed on the canvas ready to position and resize.

Scene Library

84 professionally shot backgrounds across 13 categories: Studio, Platforms, Surfaces, Stones, Fabric, SPA, Lifestyle, Walls, Interiors, Kitchen, Nature, Water, and Humans. Pick one in Step 3 - no AI credits needed.

AI Scene Generation

The AI analyses your product image, determines its category and style, and generates a professional lifestyle backdrop that fits. No prompt writing needed - but you can edit the generated prompt and regenerate for variations.

AI Product Staging

AI composites your product directly into a real-world scene template, producing a photorealistic staged product photo in seconds. The product looks like it was actually photographed in that environment.

AI Product Shoot

Upload any product photo - AI removes the background and places the product into a chosen lifestyle scene. Get professional-looking product photography without a studio, photographer, or set.

Video Ad Generator

Turn any saved creative or product image into a short video ad with AI-generated motion. Choose 5 or 10 seconds, describe the motion you want, and get an MP4 ready to post as a Reel, TikTok, or Story.

Drag-and-Drop Canvas

Every element on the canvas - product, text layers, shapes - is draggable and resizable. Build your layout by positioning elements exactly where you want them.

Multiple Text Layers

Add as many text layers as you need. Control font size, colour, bold, italic, and alignment for each layer independently. Double-click any text layer on the canvas to edit it inline.

Solid, Gradient, and Scene Backgrounds

Choose a solid colour, a linear gradient, a radial gradient, or switch to the Scene tab for your built-in library or an AI-generated backdrop.

Platform Formats

Six format presets cover every major platform. The canvas resizes automatically to the correct aspect ratio for your chosen format.

Undo

Full undo history (up to 30 steps) for drag, resize, add, and delete actions. Use the Undo button in the toolbar or Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z.

Saved Creatives Gallery

Save finished creatives to your gallery. Filter between images and videos. Hover over any saved creative to download it, or click Edit to re-open it on the canvas with all layers restored. Make Video turns any saved image creative into a video ad.

Full-Resolution Export

Download your finished creative as a full-resolution JPEG. The exported image matches the canvas dimensions exactly.

Building a Creative

1

Pick a product

In your merchant dashboard, navigate to Content - Creatives and click Create New. Browse or search your product catalog and select the product you want to feature. Then choose which product photo to use from the thumbnails shown.

2

Choose your format

Select a platform format. The canvas will use this aspect ratio. Choose the format that matches where you plan to publish the ad.

3

Choose a background scene (or skip)

Pick from 84 professionally shot scene backgrounds across 13 categories. The scene you choose becomes the canvas background when the editor opens. If you prefer to start with a plain canvas and set the background yourself, click Skip.

4

Remove the product background

In the canvas editor, open the Product tab and click Remove background. The AI removes the background from your product photo in seconds, leaving a clean cutout. This does not use AI credits.

5

Adjust the background

Open the BG tab to change or refine the background:

  • Solid - pick any colour from the colour picker
  • Gradient - pick two colours and a direction
  • Radial - centre-glow effect for dramatic product focus
  • Scene - if a scene is already applied, you will see its thumbnail here with a Clear option. You can also generate an AI scene: the AI analyses your product and creates a professional backdrop automatically.
6

Position and size the product

Drag the product cutout to reposition it on the canvas. Drag the corner handle to resize. If the product goes off-canvas, use the X, Y, W, H sliders in the Product tab to bring it back, or click Reset position to return to the default centred layout.

7

Add text and shapes

Open the Text tab and click Add text to add a text layer. Type your headline, price, or call to action. Each text layer can be independently dragged, resized, and formatted. Open the Shapes tab to add colour blocks or decorative elements behind your text for contrast.

8

Save or download

Click Save to store the creative in your gallery with the full canvas state preserved - you can re-open it for editing later. Click Downloadto export a full-resolution JPEG immediately.

Background Removal

Background removal uses AI to isolate your product from its background. It works best on product photography where the product is clearly separated from its surroundings. Tips for best results:

  • Use photos where the product is well-lit and clearly visible
  • Photos with plain or simple backgrounds process faster and produce cleaner cutouts
  • If the cutout has rough edges on a complex photo, try a different product photo with a plainer background
  • The cutout is applied immediately - you do not need to do any manual masking
Background removal does not use AI credits
Background removal is powered by a flat-fee external API. It does not deduct from your monthly AI credit allocation, so you can use it freely without worrying about your credit balance.

Scene Library

The scene library contains 84 professionally shot product backgrounds across 13 categories. Picking a scene in Step 3 applies it immediately when the canvas opens - no API call, no credits. You can clear or replace the scene at any time from the BG > Scene tab.

CategoryWhat's in it

AI Scene Generation

AI scene generation creates a professional lifestyle or product backdrop using your product as context. Unlike generic image generators where you write your own prompt, Vaendora's scene generator is vision-guided:

  1. The AI looks at your actual product image and determines its category, colours, and style
  2. It constructs an expert backdrop prompt automatically based on what it sees
  3. Flux.1 AI generates a high-quality scene image at the correct aspect ratio for your format

The result is a backdrop that actually makes sense for your product - a food product gets a kitchen or restaurant scene, a skincare product gets a bathroom or vanity setting, a clothing product gets a fashion-appropriate environment.

After generation, you can edit the AI prompt and regenerate for variations. Each regeneration produces a different result.

AI scene generation uses AI credits
Each AI scene generation deducts from your monthly AI credit allocation. You can generate scenes and regenerate with different prompts - credits are deducted on each generation. Up to 3 AI scenes can be generated per rolling 24-hour period.

AI Product Staging

Product Staging goes further than background replacement. Instead of floating your product cutout on top of a background, AI composites your product into the scene - adjusting lighting, shadows, and perspective so the product looks like it was actually photographed there.

To use Product Staging:

  1. Open the Product tab in the canvas editor
  2. Scroll to the AI Product Staging section
  3. Pick a scene template from the compact grid
  4. Click Stage Product
  5. The staged result replaces the canvas background. The floating product layer is hidden since the product is now baked into the scene.
  6. Add text and shapes on top as normal

AI Product Shoot

AI Product Shoot is a standalone tab within Creatives. It produces a full lifestyle photo of your product in a chosen scene - without using the canvas. It is the fastest way to generate a professional-looking product image when you do not need to add text or shapes.

How it works:

  1. Click the AI Product Shoot tab inside Creatives
  2. Select a product from your catalog, or paste an image URL
  3. Choose a scene - Studio White, Outdoor Lifestyle, Flat Lay, Spa and Wellness, In Hands, or On a Shelf - or write your own custom scene description
  4. Click Generate
  5. The AI removes your product background and composites the product into the chosen scene
  6. Download the result or send it directly to the canvas to add text and branding

Video Ad Generator

The Video Ad tab converts a static product image into a short AI-animated video clip - a slow zoom, a product rotation, a cinematic reveal, or any motion you describe. The output is an MP4 video ready for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Stories, or YouTube Shorts.

Generating a video

1

Choose your source image

Click the Video Ad tab. Use the toggle to pick from either:

  • Saved Creatives - any image creative already in your gallery
  • Product Images - any product photo directly from your catalog, without needing to build a canvas creative first
2

Describe the motion

Write a motion prompt describing how you want the video to look. Examples:

  • “Slow cinematic zoom in on the product, dark studio, professional ad”
  • “Product gently floats and rotates, soft warm light, no text, no watermarks”
  • “Camera slowly pans across the product on a marble surface”
3

Set the duration

Choose 5 seconds or 10 seconds. For social media ads, 5 seconds is usually enough - it loops cleanly and holds attention.

4

Generate and wait

Click Generate Video. Video generation takes 1 to 3 minutes. Keep the tab open while it processes - the result will appear automatically when it is ready.

5

Download or save

When the video is ready, you will see a preview player. You have two options:

  • Download - save the MP4 file to your device
  • Save to Gallery - save the video to your Saved Creatives gallery so it is stored permanently and accessible from your gallery
Save or download before leaving
Generated videos are temporary until you download them or save them to your gallery. If you leave the page or refresh before doing either, the video will be gone.
About text artifacts in videos
The AI that generates videos sometimes adds text-like marks or visual noise to the video. This is a known limitation of the model. To reduce it, include the phrase “no text, no watermarks” in your motion prompt. It does not eliminate the issue entirely but helps.

Canvas Tools

Product Layer

The product cutout is placed as a layer on the canvas. To work with it:

  • Drag to reposition anywhere on the canvas
  • Corner handle to resize
  • Flip to mirror horizontally
  • Shadow to add a drop shadow for depth
  • Opacity slider to adjust transparency
  • X, Y, W, H sliders in the Product panel for precise positioning - useful if the product goes off-canvas
  • Reset position to snap the product back to the default centred layout

Text Layers

Each text layer is independent. You can have as many as you need. For each layer:

  • Double-click on the canvas to edit text content inline
  • Drag to reposition on the canvas
  • Set font family, size, colour, bold, italic, and alignment from the Text panel
  • Delete individual text layers using the delete button on the layer row

Shape Layers

Add shape layers for visual structure - rectangles, rounded rectangles, or circles. Each shape is draggable and resizable. Useful for adding branded colour blocks behind text for contrast.

Background

The background fills the entire canvas behind all layers. Options available from the BG tab:

  • Solid - flat colour fill
  • Gradient - linear gradient between two colours with a direction picker
  • Radial - centre-glow radial gradient
  • Scene - apply a built-in template or generate an AI scene. If a scene is already applied, the thumbnail shows here with options to Clear it or replace it with an AI-generated version.

Undo

Up to 30 undo steps are tracked. Click the Undo button in the toolbar or press Ctrl+Z (Windows) / Cmd+Z (Mac). Undo covers drags, resizes, layer additions, deletions, and background changes.

The gallery tab shows all your saved creatives - both image creatives built on the canvas and videos generated from the Video Ad tab. Each is displayed as a thumbnail (videos autoplay silently in the grid).

Filtering and navigation

  • Use the All / Images / Videos filter buttons at the top of the gallery to show only the type you want
  • The gallery shows 12 items per page. Use Previous and Next to navigate when you have more than 12 saved items

What you can do with each creative

  • Edit (image creatives only) - hover and click Edit to reopen on the canvas with all layers restored
  • Download - hover and click Download to save to your device. Images download as JPEG, videos as MP4
  • Make Video (image creatives only) - click to open an inline video generation panel. Write a motion prompt, choose 5 or 10 seconds, and generate a video from that image
  • Delete - tap once to see a confirmation prompt, then again to permanently remove the creative
Saved creatives are deleted after 30 days
All saved images and videos in your gallery are automatically removed after 30 days. Download any creative you want to keep permanently before it expires. The 30-day timer starts from the date the creative was saved.
Saving preserves your canvas
When you save an image creative, the full canvas state is stored alongside the image. This means you can re-open any saved creative and continue editing it - all your layers, text, and background settings are restored exactly as you left them. This does not apply to saved videos, which store the final MP4 only.

Best Practices

Use your brand colours in text and backgrounds

Your brand's primary and secondary colours are listed in your storefront settings. Use these consistently in your creatives so all your ads look like they come from the same brand. Consistent colour builds recognition - customers will start to recognise your content before they even read the text.

Less text is more

Ad creatives perform best with minimal text. A headline, a price or CTA, and your brand name is usually enough. The detailed caption goes in the post text, not on the image. If your image has more than 20% text coverage, most people will stop reading it.

Product photo quality determines cutout quality

The AI background removal works from what it can see. If your product photo has the product against a white or plain background, you will get a clean cutout. Complex, busy, or dark backgrounds produce rougher edges. Investing in good product photography pays off directly in the quality of your creatives.

Create multiple sizes for one campaign

Build your creative in square format first for Instagram feed, then create a new creative in 9:16 for Stories and TikTok. The product and colours stay the same - just reposition the layers for the new canvas shape. Save both to your gallery and use them together for a consistent campaign across platforms.

Match the scene to the product category

Skincare products look most natural in the SPA or Surfaces categories. Food products work well in Kitchen or Nature. Fashion items suit Lifestyle or Fabric. Choosing a contextually appropriate scene makes the ad feel authentic rather than generic.

Save videos to your gallery - not just to your device

When a video is generated, use Save to Gallery rather than just downloading it. Saving keeps the video accessible from any device where you log in to your Vaendora dashboard, and it appears in your gallery filtered by the Videos tab for easy retrieval.

Use Product Images for quick video ads

You do not need to build a full canvas creative before making a video. The Video Ad tab has a Product Images source that pulls directly from your catalog. Pick any product photo, write a motion prompt, and generate - the entire flow takes under a minute before generation starts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does background removal work on any product photo?

It works on most product photos. Best results come from photos where the product is clearly distinct from the background. Photos with highly reflective products (mirrors, glass, chrome) or transparent products may have less clean edges.

Can I use my own background image instead of AI generation?

Yes - in Step 3, choose from 84 built-in scene backgrounds. These cover a wide range of product photography styles from clean studio shots to lifestyle environments and natural textures. If none of the built-in scenes suit your product, the AI Scene option can generate a custom backdrop. Uploading your own custom image is on the roadmap.

What is the difference between AI Scene and AI Product Staging?

AI Scene generates a backdrop image - your product cutout then floats on top as a separate layer. AI Product Staging composites the product directly into a scene template, producing a single photorealistic image where the product looks like it was actually photographed in that environment. Staging produces more realistic results but uses a scene template from the library rather than a fully custom AI backdrop.

What is the difference between AI Product Staging and AI Product Shoot?

AI Product Staging works inside the canvas builder - the result replaces the canvas background and you can continue adding text and shapes on top. AI Product Shoot is a standalone tab that produces a finished lifestyle photo you can download or send to canvas. Both use scene templates, but Product Shoot is faster to use when you just need a clean product photo.

What resolution is the exported JPEG?

The exported JPEG matches the canvas dimensions at full resolution. For 1:1 (Instagram square) this is 1080x1080px. For 9:16 story formats, the export is 1080x1920px.

How long are saved creatives kept?

Saved images and videos are automatically deleted after 30 days. Download anything you want to keep permanently before the 30-day period expires. The timer starts from when the creative was saved, not when it was created.

Is there a limit on how many creatives I can save?

There is no hard limit on the number of saved creatives. Your gallery grows as you save more. Delete creatives you no longer need to keep your gallery manageable - and remember that all items expire after 30 days anyway.

Does AI scene generation always produce a good result?

AI scenes are generated, not selected - results vary. If the first scene does not work well for your product, edit the prompt and regenerate. Each generation produces a different result. You spend AI credits on each generation, so use the prompt editor to refine before generating again.

Can I edit a saved creative?

Yes - for image creatives. Hover over any image creative in the gallery and click Edit to reopen it on the canvas with all layers, text, backgrounds, and positioning fully restored. Saved videos cannot be edited - you can download or delete them, or generate a new video from the same source image.

How long does video generation take?

Video generation takes between 1 and 3 minutes. Keep the page open while it processes - the result appears automatically when it is ready. Do not refresh, as this will lose the result unless you have already saved it to your gallery.

Why does my generated video have text or watermarks on it?

The AI that generates videos sometimes adds visual text artifacts. This is a known limitation of the model. Adding “no text, no watermarks” to your motion prompt reduces how often this happens but does not eliminate it entirely.
