AI Business Strategist

The AI Business Strategist is a conversational business intelligence agent built into your Vaendora dashboard. It knows your store inside and out - your revenue, top products, customer behaviour, inventory, and content activity - and gives you the kind of analysis and recommendations that would normally require a dedicated consultant.

Unlike a generic AI chatbot, the Strategist is not guessing. Every response is grounded in your actual numbers, updated in real time from your store data. Ask it anything about your business and it will give you a direct, specific, data-backed answer.

Where to find it
The AI Business Strategist is accessible from the main sidebar. Click AI Business Strategist (the BrainCircuit icon) to open it. It is available at all times from any part of your dashboard.

What the Strategist Knows About Your Business

Before responding to your first message in a conversation, the Strategist reads a live snapshot of your entire business and uses that as its foundation. Here is what it has access to:

Sales Performance (Last 30 Days)

Total revenue, total orders, average order value, fulfilment rate, and cancellation rate. The Strategist always knows how your store is performing right now.

Top Products

Your top 3 products by revenue and your top 3 by units sold. It can tell you which products are carrying your business and which are underperforming.

Customer Intelligence

Total unique customers, new customers in the last 30 days, returning customers, and average orders per customer. The Strategist uses this to advise on retention and acquisition.

Inventory Health

Out-of-stock count, low-stock count, total tracked SKUs, and total inventory value. It can flag stock risks before they affect your sales.

Full Product Catalog

Every product in your store (up to 50) — including name, category, price, publish status, and stock level. The Strategist can reason across your entire catalog.

Blog and Content Activity

Your five most recent blog post titles and their publish status. The Strategist knows whether you are publishing consistently and can recommend content directions.

Context injection strategy
The Strategist injects your full business data on the first message of a new conversation, and again if you return to a conversation after more than 24 hours. During an active session, it works from memory to keep responses fast and efficient.

The Strategist's Perspective

The AI is crafted as an experienced ecommerce business development expert with over 10 years working across Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and sub-Saharan Africa. It understands the realities of running an online business in these markets - not just the generic global playbook.

Specifically, it understands:

  • Nigerian consumer behaviour - mobile-first shopping, WhatsApp-driven discovery, and how social proof drives purchase decisions more than advertising
  • Seasonal and cultural cycles - Sallah, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Black Friday Nigeria, and back-to-school buying patterns
  • Logistics realities - last-mile delivery challenges, cash-on-delivery preferences, and how return friction affects customer trust
  • Naira pricing dynamics - how exchange rate pressure affects cost of goods, margin, and pricing strategy
  • Competitive context - how to differentiate from Jumia, Konga, Instagram shops, and WhatsApp stores
  • Category-specific nuance - fashion, electronics, beauty, FMCG, food, and digital goods each have different dynamics it reasons about correctly

The Strategist gives direct answers with specific numbers from your data. It does not give vague or generic advice. Every recommendation ends with a concrete next step you can take today.

Conversations and History

Every session with the Strategist is saved as a named conversation. You can have multiple ongoing conversations for different topics - for example, one focused on pricing strategy and another on content planning - and switch between them from the sidebar panel on the left.

Starting a New Conversation

Click New Conversation at the top of the Strategist page. A new session starts with six suggested starter questions. Click any of them to send it immediately, or type your own question in the input area.

Suggested Starter Questions

These starter cards are shown at the beginning of each new conversation to help you get value quickly:

How is my business performing this month?

Which products should I be pushing harder right now?

Analyse my customer retention - what should I improve?

What's causing my cancellation rate and how do I fix it?

If I raise my prices by 10%, what happens to my revenue?

What content should I create this week to drive more sales?

Conversation History

All your previous conversations are listed in the left panel, sorted by most recent. Click any conversation to resume it. The Strategist remembers the full context of previous messages within a conversation.

To delete a conversation, click the delete icon next to it in the list. This permanently removes the conversation and all its messages.

How to Use It Effectively

The more specific your question, the more useful the answer. Here are examples of questions that get the most value out of the Strategist:

Business Performance

  • "Why is my average order value low compared to last month?"
  • "My revenue dropped this week - what could explain it?"
  • "Which day of the week gets the most orders?"
  • "How does my completion rate compare to what a healthy store should look like?"

Product Strategy

  • "Which of my products have the best margin opportunity?"
  • "I have 12 products with zero sales this month. What should I do with them?"
  • "What should I bundle together to increase my average order value?"
  • "Which product category should I expand next?"

Customer Retention

  • "What percentage of my customers have bought more than once?"
  • "How do I get more customers to come back for a second purchase?"
  • "What is a realistic lifetime value target for my type of store?"
  • "How can I use my existing customer list to drive more revenue this month?"

Growth and Pricing

  • "If I run a 15% discount on my top 5 products, what should I expect?"
  • "What price point would make my products more competitive without hurting margin?"
  • "How should I prepare my store for Sallah / Christmas / Black Friday?"
  • "What are three things I can do this week to increase revenue?"

Content and Marketing

  • "Based on my products, what blog topics would drive the most organic traffic?"
  • "What social media content angle would work best for my customer segment?"
  • "How often should I be publishing content given the size of my catalog?"
  • "Which of my products should I feature in a WhatsApp broadcast this week?"
The more context you give, the better
You can add context the Strategist does not have - for example, tell it about an upcoming campaign, a new supplier, a price increase you are considering, or a problem you are noticing. It will incorporate that into its analysis for the rest of the conversation.

Viewing What the Strategist Knows

You can see exactly what business data the Strategist has access to by clicking View Business Context (available from the Strategist interface). This shows the raw context block that is injected at the start of each conversation - your revenue figures, product list, customer stats, and inventory numbers - so you know precisely what the AI is working from.

This transparency is intentional. The Strategist should never surprise you with data you cannot verify.

AI Credits

Each message you send to the Strategist uses AI credits from your plan's monthly allocation. Credits are shared across all AI features on your account - product description generation, blog posts, social content, and the Strategist all draw from the same pool.

A credits indicator is shown below the chat input so you can always see your remaining balance. If you run low, the Strategist will let you know before the credits are exhausted.

Running low on credits?
Upgrade your plan or wait for your monthly reset to continue using AI features. Your conversation history is preserved - you will not lose any previous messages.

Tips for Getting the Best Results

Start with your biggest open question

Do not ease in with small questions. Open with your most pressing business problem - the Strategist has the full context and can go deep from the first message.

Use separate conversations for separate topics

Keep a conversation focused on one area - pricing, retention, content, or inventory. Mixing too many topics in one thread makes it harder to revisit specific threads of advice later.

Push back and dig deeper

If an answer is useful but not specific enough, ask follow-up questions. The Strategist holds the thread of the conversation and can go multiple levels deeper on any recommendation.

Check in weekly, not just when something is wrong

The Strategist is most useful as a regular habit. A weekly check-in - "how did last week go and what should I focus on this week?" - keeps you ahead of problems before they show up in your numbers.

Tell it things it does not know yet

Add context about your offline situation, your supplier costs, a promotion you are planning, or a new channel you are testing. The Strategist combines your store data with the context you provide for much richer analysis.
